St. Clair County Board of Commissioners encourages community engagement and there are hundreds of opportunities for residents to become involved.  There are over 20 boards, committees and commissions where residents can participate. 

The various boards and commissions are generally created in three ways: 

1) established under Michigan Compiled Laws,

2) established by the Board of Commissioners via resolution, or

3) the board is an external agency/partner to St. Clair County.
