WHO IS ELIGIBLE:
St. Clair County infants and children.
SERVICES OFFERED:
Vision screening is provided to preschool children ages 3 to 5 years and in all county school grades 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and in conjunction with driver's education. Hearing screening is provided to preschool children ages 3 to 5 years and in all county school grades kindergarten, 2, and 4. Further testing and follow up is done for all children who cannot pass the initial screening. Special requests for vision and hearing screenings can be made at the health department by teachers, doctors and parents.Â
WHO PAYS:
There is no charge for vision and hearing screening for children.
HOURS:
Appointments can be made at the health department for children in school ages 3 to 5 during regular business hours when technicians are available. Free/no charge.Â
