FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- Are pets allowed? Dogs are permitted in all County Parks only when kept on a leash not to exceed 6 feet in length and kept under the immediate control of a responsible person. The owner will assume full responsibility for all pets. Pets are not allowed on the beach at Fort Gratiot County Park at any time.
- How far in advance can I make reservations? Reservations are accepted up to one year from the date of the event, if there are no blackout dates.

Is there a cancellation policy?
Yes, please refer to our St. Clair County Parks and Recreation Rules & Regulation on our website, (Facility Rental Policy).

Can I have a tent at the County Parks?
Only pop-up (largest 12’X12’) are allowed.

Is metal detecting allowed at the County Parks?
Metal detecting is permitted in many, but not all areas of the County Parks; Fort Gratiot Light Station and the cemetery at Goodells County Park are prohibited. Any digging done must be repaired.

Can I leave my vehicle overnight?
Permission to leave a vehicle overnight for special circumstances may be obtained by contacting the Park Office. Any vehicles left overnight without approval may be towed at the owner’s expense.

Is there Hunting allowed in the County Parks?
Yes, at Columbus County Park, you must purchase a permit from St. Clair County Parks office.

Do you have maps of the County Parks?
Yes, we have brochures with maps of all our parks in the office.
