The register of deeds office maintains and preserves the land records of St. Clair County. The primary requirement of the office is to record deeds, mortgages, liens, surveys, plats, land contracts, condominiums, fixture filing, related documents and other miscellaneous real estate documents.
Land records are available to view online from 1984 to present. To search, click on Land Records Search. To request a copy, call or email us. Copy charges are $1.00 per page. Web accounts are available for $150.00 per year. You will be able to view & print copies at $1.00 per page.
Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm (closed for lunch 12:00pm - 1:00pm)
Friday: 10:30am - 4:30pm (closed for lunch 12:00pm - 1:00pm)
Closed County Holidays
State Statue 211.135, requires that the County Treasurer, review and sign documents that require a certification statement, if applicable. Please Click here for more information.
Recording counter closes at 4:00pm. Any document received after 4:00pm will be dated for 8:00am the next business day.
